You can find all the tools at e-powerment.nl/en/tools/

How it works

  1. You see one question at a time. First choose who it is for: yourself, a client or someone else, or your organisation.
  2. Go to the next question and choose one or more topics, such as Money or Mental health.
  3. At the last question, choose how you want to use it: in the browser, as an app, on paper or together in conversation.
  4. Under each question you can see straight away how many tools fit. At the last step, Result, they are listed.
  5. The name takes you to the tool.

You can skip a question, and you can jump to another question using the steps at the top. If you choose more than one answer to a question, one of them is enough. If you have not chosen anything yet, you see all the tools. Does nothing match everything you chose? Then you see the tools that come close, and how they differ.

First come the tools by E-powerment, in three groups: during a conversation, for yourself and for accessibility. Then those by others.

With ‘Print’ you print only the result, with your choices, the date and the web address of each tool.

How we choose

  • If you choose For myself or For a client or someone else, you see the tools from ‘On your own’. If you are looking for someone else, the tools you can use together are at the top.
  • If you choose For my organisation, you see tools for care workers.
  • If you choose Together in conversation, you see tools that belong to both ‘On your own’ and ‘With your client’, plus our conversation cards and our conversation wheel.
  • If you choose On paper, you see tools that let you make something to print. We do not know this for tools by others, so they are not included.

We go by what the makers say about their own tool (checked on ). Check with the maker what it costs and whether it still works. Would you rather look around yourself? See all tools.

Your choices

Everything happens in your browser. We do not save your choices and do not send them anywhere. If you refresh the page, they are gone. If you choose a tool by others, you go to their website.

  • GameSimulation

    Obstacle course

Try for yourself what it is like to use a website when you cannot see well, your hand shakes, reading is hard or you only have a keyboard. Then you repair the website and try again.

    For: With your client

  • CheckWebsite test

    Keyboard test

Test your own website using only the keyboard. Ten short steps, each linked to its WCAG 2.2 requirement, show what works and what does not, with a tip for every point.

    For: With your client

  • CheckColour check

    Colour-blind view

See roughly how someone with colour blindness sees your colours or an image, and check whether your text has enough contrast under WCAG.

    For: With your client
