How it works

  1. Choose a photo that fits what you want to say. With the keyboard, use Tab to go to a photo and Enter to open it.
  2. You get a question with that photo. Answer the question if you like, or talk about the photo. Each photo has three questions.
  3. Not sure which photo? Choose Draw a card. You then get a random photo with a question.
  4. Want different photos at the top? Shuffle the cards.
  5. Close or the Escape key takes you back to the photos.

What is on the cards

There are seventy photos of everyday things: food over a fire, a butterfly on a flower, a hand throwing dice. Each photo comes with three open questions that fit what you see. For the dice, for example: ‘When were you lucky?’ and ‘What do you dare to risk, and what would you rather not?’

You do not have to use the question: you can also say why you chose this photo. Next question shows the other questions for the same photo. Another card gives you a photo you have not seen yet on this visit.

Want the cards on the table? Choose Print. The three questions are then below each photo. Nothing is saved about which photos you chose.

For yourself, and together with your care worker

For yourself. Do you find it hard to say something? Choose a photo and show it to someone you trust, or answer the question for yourself.

As a care worker. Use the cards at the start of a conversation, or when it goes quiet. Let the other person choose a photo and ask what they see in it.

Together. Take turns to draw a card and both answer the question.
