Start from scratch
A set without cards. You give it a name and a card back, and make the cards yourself or paste a list.
Open a set
Did you save a set earlier, or get one from a colleague? Open the file here. It stays on your device. To pass on a set yourself: choose Save as file and email the file.
Cards · sheet 1 of 2: fronts. Cut along the dashed lines.
Cards · sheet 2 of 2: backs, mirrored. Cut along the dashed lines.
How it works
- Start with a starter set and change it, or start with an empty set.
- Give your set a name, a colour and a card back.
- Make cards. For each card, choose a type: a question, a picture with a word, a feeling, a task, a choice, a scale or a blank card. Do you already have a list of questions? Paste it: one line is one card.
- Play with them on screen: shuffle and draw, spread them out, sort them into piles or deal them.
- Print the cards and cut them out. Or save the set as a file and pass it on to a colleague.
Seven types of card
- Question card: a question to talk about, with a picture if you like.
- Picture + word: a drawing with a word. For choosing or sorting, also when reading is hard.
- Feeling card: a face with the word for a feeling.
- Task card: something to do, such as drawing, pointing or copying.
- Choice card: this or that. You choose one and say why.
- Scale card: a line from 0 to 10 to point to a number.
- Blank card: lines to write or draw on by hand.
There are 65 pictures to choose from and ten card backs. The name of your set is on every back. The five starter sets are a beginning: Getting to know a young person, Team meeting, Feelings for children, Looking back on a support process and What matters to me.
Playing on the table
On screen, the cards lie on a table. There are four ways to play.
- Draw: shuffle the pile and take turns to draw a card. It turns over.
- Spread out: all cards lie face up, or face down to choose blind. Choose a few together.
- Piles: put each card on a pile, for example fits me, doesn't fit or I don't know. You choose the names.
- Deal: deal the cards to 2 to 6 players.
You can copy what is on the piles, who has which cards or which cards you chose as a list, or print it. You can hand it out or put it in your report.
Printing and cutting
Choose 9, 6 or 4 cards per A4 sheet. The backs go on the next sheet, mirrored: print double-sided and choose flip on long edge, then each back lands behind its front. If your printer cannot print double-sided, choose folding cards. Then the front and back are side by side: you fold the card in half and glue it shut. A cover page with the name of the set and how to use it comes first.
Passing on a set
Save your set with Save as file. Email that file to your colleague. They open it on this page with Open a file and can change the cards, play with them or print them. The file does not go through us: it is on your own device.
Good to know
- Everything works with the keyboard. Every card is a button. You can drag with the mouse, but you never have to: there are always buttons.
- Have you turned on reduced motion on your device? Then the cards shuffle, turn and deal without moving.
- Is the conversation about something difficult and is more help needed? In an emergency, call 112. Anyone thinking about suicide can call 113 or 0800-0113 for free (the Dutch suicide prevention line).
Your data
What you make stays on this page on your own device. Nothing is sent and nothing is saved in your browser. If you close or refresh the page, your set is gone. Your browser asks first if you have not saved yet.
- The file is saved on your device, in the place you choose. Your cards, your design and the names of your piles are in it. What happened while you were playing is not in it.
- If you choose ‘Save as PDF’ when printing, your cards are saved as a file on your device.
