Schrijfmaatje
Write a card to someone you don’t know. Schrijfmaatje turns it into real post.
Schrijfmaatje
To write a card or to receive post, go to the Schrijfmaatje website.
Go to schrijfmaatje.nl (external website)How it works
Schrijfmaatje is a separate website by E-powerment. You can take part in two ways: you write a card to someone else, or you sign up to receive post yourself. On this page you can read how it works. You take part on schrijfmaatje.nl.
- You write a card. Say something ordinary about your day and ask one everyday question. You don’t need fine sentences.
- Schrijfmaatje reads it and sends it on. Every message is read by a person. If it is friendly and safe, it is copied out by hand and posted.
- You can write back. On paper or online, and it always goes through Schrijfmaatje.
Receiving post
You can sign yourself up, or someone else who would like to get post, such as a grandparent or someone in the neighbourhood. After a short confirmation by letter, a card arrives on the doormat now and then.
Safe and private
Every card is read before it is posted. An address is only used for delivery and is not shared with anyone. The writer and the recipient do not learn each other’s name and address. An address only counts once it has been confirmed by letter, so nobody can simply give someone else’s address.
Stamps
Taking part costs nothing. The stamps come from people who donate them.
